Join us this week for a shorter episode where I get to talk with my favorite people in the world about our trip to Disneyland. Sara spent most of the time taking care of Violet and so she didn’t say much, but maybe this will be the first one of these that she listens to.
Disneyland is a fandom all of its own. even though I have been several times since I was a child I was able to enjoy myself this time more than any other because I was able to live vicariously through my children. Watching the wonder and the looks of awe on their faces as we went through rides, even It’s a Small World gave me a whole new appreciation for the magic that Disney creates.
We booked our trip through GetAwayToday and even though they aren’t a sponsor or an affiliate relationship I can completely recommend them. Because we booked through them we were able to get a Magic Morning included with our tickets which let us get into the park an hour earlier than regular ticket holders. If you are interested in a supplemental episode with planning and tips feel free to let me know by emailing me at Feedback@FandomPodcast.com, leaving a comment or posting on Facebook
The rides and experiences that we talk about the most on this episode are Star Tours, Buzz Light Year Astro Blasters, Finding Nemo, Jedi Training, Peter Pan, Tower of Terror, and The Radiator Springs Racers. One of the things that I’m the most proud about after this trip is that Kyle decided that he wanted to be brave and faced rides that would normally scare him away. I had a talk with him about what bravery meant and he went on every ride that we had time for like a champ.
If this is your first time listening, stick around for a few episodes by subscribing in iTunes or the many Android apps that are out there, we normally cover News and a Random Fandom submitted by a listener and have a Geeky discussion. If you have a Random Fandom that you would like us to cover hit us up on Facebook or to Random@FandomPodcast.com
Until Next Time – May the Fandom Be With You
